Baron René
von Richthofen

Baron René von Richthofen uses spare automobile parts, children’s toys, model cars, and found objects to create installations that comment on social and cultural issues. This work is part of a lifelong love affair with the automobile. The artist started collecting toy cars when he was five years old, and the craftsmanship and design of the automobile motor—including American horsepower, Italian design, Japanese technology, and German perfection—continue to inspire his work. Creating these objects allows him to escape from his hectic daily schedule and concentrate exclusively on the present moment, without the distraction of television or music. Richthofen lives in West Palm Beach, FL with his wife, sculptor Jane Manus.

MIKE BELL

Pop culture icons

Composed in acrylic paint on canvas, Mike uses black, white and a touch of warm and cool greys to depict a wide variety of pop culture icons. He prefers a black & white  pallette because it lends a certain timeless, classic quality to his images.

Not using color makes it more difficult to put an exact date on the subject, it accentuates the light and shadows creating a dramatic composition. Mike chooses his subjects based upon their impact on his growing up in the 60’s and 70’s when pop culture ruled and made a lasting influence on him.

JAKE PACKARD

True Art nourishes the soul. It should inspire us and lift us up. It has the power to open hearts and minds and transform lives. I believe it should be an expression of beauty of more than ordinary significance.

I learned photography as a freshman at Harvard in the darkrooms of the Carpenter Center for Visual Arts in Harvard Yard, the very first year they opened the creative arts program. Developing negatives and then printing pictures with an enlarger and trays of chemicals was a blast. But now today, with the incredible digital technology at our fingertips, framing the beauty found in the natural world is even more thrilling.

First and foremost, you should buy art because it speaks to you and you connect with it. Beautiful landscape photography has a way of captivating us on an emotional level. Whether in the home or office, adding artwork helps create an environment that is not only stimulating but also enriching and inspiring.

I love bright colors. I love sharp images with vibrancy. My wall art will liven up a room in ‘feng shui’ way, so that the feelings and mood of the people in the room will be affected in a positive way, because of the environment my wall art helps to create.
